Role Description

The Payroll Specialist role is a full-time, on-site position located in WP, Kuala Lumpur. The Payroll Specialist will manage the end-to-end payroll process, including handling payroll administration, processing garnishments, and ensuring compliance with payroll tax regulations. The role involves maintaining accurate records, addressing payroll inquiries, and ensuring timely and precise payroll processing. Collaboration with internal teams and clients to address payroll needs and resolve discrepancies will also be key responsibilities.

What you'll get to do:

• Transfer time data into regional payroll system

Perform all payroll calculations for the APAC Region

• Monitor payroll batches for identified flags

• Correct small errors identified during payroll system checks

• Generate and distribute pay slips to all Contractors in the Asia Pacific region

• Create client invoices for the identified invoicing period

• Submit invoices to each billing organization for review and payment

• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with a passion for payroll processing, team engagement and an ability to:

a. manage priorities and competing demands with varying timeframes in order to meet deadlines and maintain high quality standards.

b. ability to work autonomously and seek guidance where necessary.

• Strong communication and engagement skills to influence and drive continual improvement and mutually beneficial outcomes with internal and external stakeholders.

• Flexible, adaptable, energised and growth mindset: ability to positively respond and adapt to changes that impact the business environment.

• Technical knowledge and understanding of payroll systems, concepts, payroll elements and legislative environment.

Qualifications/accreditation/licenses

• Post-secondary accreditation in finance, business or related field desirable.

• Minimum of 2 years payroll processing experience (ideally dealing with large scale payroll activity)

• Experience working with payroll in Australia and New Zealand is highly desirable
