Role Description The Payroll Executive is a full-time or part-time, on-site role based at Best Western Premier Malta in Saint Paul’s Bay, Malta. The role involves managing end-to-end payroll processing for hotel employees, including collecting and verifying time and attendance data, calculating wages, overtime, and statutory deductions, and preparing payroll reports. The Payroll Executive will ensure timely and accurate salary payments, maintain payroll records, and comply with local tax and employment regulations. This position will collaborate closely with employee queries, support onboarding and offboarding from a payroll perspective, and assist with audits and month-end reporting. The role also includes continuously reviewing payroll processes to improve efficiency and maintain strict confidentiality of employee information.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Payroll Administration and Payroll Processing skills, including handling end-to-end payroll cycles and maintaining accurate records.
- Candidates should have a strong knowledge of the payroll system Indigo/Shireburn.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, with the ability to respond to employee payroll queries clearly and professionally and collaborate with Finance teams.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Maltese labour laws and payroll regulations; prior experience in hospitality or service industries is an advantage.
- Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, the ability to manage deadlines, and a commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
