Key Details
* Salary: £24,730 (salary can be included on adverts)
*
Location:
Chesterfield – fully office-based for the duration of the course (expected to be 9-12 months)
* Bonus: 3-7% based on individual performance
* Pension: 10% employer contribution, with up to 5% matched additional contributions (i.e. 5% employee / 15% employer)
About the Role
This role is part of a dedicated training programme designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to deliver a high standard of
pension administration
. You will join a
supportive team
and receive in-depth training, enabling you to manage a variety of pension processes, including transfers, retirements, bereavements, and other key member services.
As you progress, you’ll gain valuable technical expertise and have
opportunities for career advancement
within the business. The training programme typically takes 9–12 months to complete, after which you will be promoted to the role of Pensions Administrator with a salary increase.
Key Responsibilities
* Actively participate in the
structured training
programme, taking ownership of
your development
.
* Process members’ benefits in line with pension scheme rules.
* Update
pension administration
systems and ensure accurate record-keeping.
* Communicate entitlements and respond to member queries both verbally and in writing.
* Support the wider team with additional administrative tasks as required.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
Skills & Experience:
* Strong written and verbal
communication skills
.
* A proactive, can-do attitude.
* Passion for excellent customer service.
* Good numeracy skills and
attention to detail
.
* Ability to meet deadlines in a
fast-paced environment
.
* Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office).
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grades 5-9.
