As we grow, we’re looking for an experienced HR People Partner to join our small but mighty People team. This is an exciting opportunity to have a direct impact on our culture, people strategy, and overall organizational success. This role will report directly to the Chief People and Community Engagement Officer.
The Opportunity
This isn’t your typical HR business partner role. You’ll be a key strategic advisor to leadership while also rolling up your sleeves to build and execute programs across talent, performance, learning, leadership development, compensation, and hiring. You’ll thrive here if you’re a resourceful, proactive leader who’s energized by building from the ground up and working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. This role reports directly to the Chief PeopleCommunity Engagement Officer.
What You’ll Do
Partner with senior leaders on workforce planning to determine the talent, skills and resources required to meet business objectives
Collaborate with leadership to help define and maintain the organizational structure, ensuring clarity of roles, responsibilities, and reporting lines
Build and manage performance and talent management frameworks that promote feedback, development, and accountability
Launch learning and development initiatives that build future-ready skills and leadership capacity
Serve as a coach to people leaders, supporting development and providing tools and tactics to navigate leadership challenges
Lead compensation planning and support equitable, performance-based pay decisions
Provide guidance on employee benefits, company policies and compliance related matters
Develop a recruitment strategy and hiring best practices aligned to business objectives
Act as a culture steward, shaping initiatives that drive engagement, inclusion, and alignment with our values
What We’re Looking For
10+ years of progressive HR/People experience, ideally in sports, consulting, startups, or dynamic, growing environments
Maintains agility in the face of change and consistently seeks out ways to improve our employee experience
Excellent judgement, ability to maintain discretion and acts with integrity at all times
A strategic mindset paired with hands-on execution skills – you know when to zoom in and when to zoom out
Strong understanding of compensation plans and practices (sales incentives a plus)
Expert knowledge of employee benefits, leave policies and fair labor practices
Proven experience designing and delivering value add employee programs with limited resources
Strong relationship-building skills and the confidence to advise, challenge, and support leaders
Passion for sports, team dynamics, and helping people do their best work
