The Pet Care Administrative Support Specialist is responsible for providing administrative, marketing (social media) and retail support for the Fort Jackson Area Operation. This position is responsible for Event Planning and supporting back-office operations i.e. retail, human resource, financial and administrative aspects of the operation. Candidate should be flexible and must have the ability to work independently.

Essential Responsibilities:

Candidate must have “proven” event mangement and planning skills, administrative writing skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, must demonstrate social media prowess and will gain responsibility in aiding social media development and executing a dynamic social media strategy that engages our audience and drives brand awareness. Candidate will create compelling content across various online platforms, analyze performance metrics, and foster a vibrant online community. Candidate must have interpersonal professional skills, adept at problem solving, have excellent verbal communication, familiar w/ office administration procedures, expert typist with excellent editing and proofreading skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, have excellent telephone etiquette skills, have a strong propensity for teamwork, have an acute understanding of discretion and judgment while being resourcefulness and anticipating office needs. Candidate will support general bookkeeping tasks, particularly accounts receivable and accounts payable. Support accounts receivable includes processing all deposits, maintaining accounts receivable records; and data entry of accounts receivables.. Monitor stock levels and purchases and ensure they stay within budget. Plan and support promotional events and or displays and perform other duties, as assigned

Necessary Skills:
Administrative Assistant: 2 years
2 + years Microsoft Windows and Office experience, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Google Suite Functionality
Mail: Required
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
Excellent organizing and leadership skills
Commercial awareness
Analytical mind and familiarity with data analysis principles

Excellent Social Media Skills: Preferred
Strong phone etiquette, written, and customer services skills
Ability to work independently: Required

Other position functions:
Purchase supplies and equipment as authorized by management
Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
Maintain a professional appearance / demeanor and demonstrate friendliness and proper phone etiquette skills with customer/clients and associates.
Review monthly analysis of office related expenses and assist in preparation of office budgets.
Prepare and oversee purchase orders, maintain inventory and order supplies and forms for the office and other duties, as assigned.
Required license or certification:
Driver’s License: Mandatory

Knowledge of the principles and techniques of administrative management including organization, planning, staffing, training, budgeting, and reporting.’

Pay: $18,720.00 – $25,000.00 per year
