The Database Administrator is responsible for all aspects of the design, development and delivery of data and database solutions.
Other responsibilities include:
- Design, develop and deliver / implement dataops solutions to include: architecture design, prototyping of concepts to proof of concept, development of standards, design and development of test plans, code and module design, development and testing, data solution debugging, design and implementation of a robust database solution that follows efficient design techniques and development that meets and exceeds the intent of the design of the data solution.
- Setup & implement advanced high availability architecture
- Perform troubleshooting when necessary
- Effectively manage day-to-day tasks / activities in coordination with a team of developers/clients to effectively meet the deliverables and schedule of a data solution component within a larger application project.
- Give support to various business and technology teams as necessary during design, development and delivery to ensure solid, scalable, robust solutions.
- Support and maintain data and database systems to meet business delivery specifications and needs.
- Occasionally deliver presentations about database solutions & all the features involved
- Keep learning more data engineering technology to be subject matter expert in the this space
- Willing to do 24 x 7 support from following schedule
Requirements :
- Possess skills at least in MongoDB & PostgreSQL
- Willing to invest time & lots of effort to become Subject Matter Expert & achieve excellence in other databases & dataops automation
- Open minded & Willing to work hard in a startup culture environment
- Resourceful & Independent
- Can read & write in English. Can communicate basic level in english
Technical skills :
1. Been working as DBA in MySQL at least 4 years
2. Preferably to have experience in programming PHP/Python/Jscript (at least one)
3. Familiar & comfortable with Linux and Unix environment
4. Have good understanding of concept of the internal workings of database engine
