We are looking for a full-time program administrator position to report to the director of administration. This position is ideal for a qualified candidate with interest or experience in grantmaking, scholarship programs, and conservation efforts. 

Regular office hours are 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m, M-F. This is an in-office position, with scheduled, hybrid opportunities.

Essential job duties:

Accurate database management, website maintenance, and a wide-range of administrative duties in support of multiple volunteer-based committees. The ability to meet tight deadlines and support multiple ongoing initiatives is essential to success in this role. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultation and task support to committee chairs, Board liaisons, Finance liaisons, and colleagues across assigned committees
  • Administer the GCA's scholarship program, including the annual application process, applicant communications, and data records
  • Prioritize time-sensitive policy communications
  • Administer grants and make grant applications and reports more efficient and accessible
  • Oversee and maintain the quality of the event inspiration platform and database of national speakers
  • Suggest and help implement process improvements across assigned committees
  • Support the annual audit process as it relates to financial grants and scholarships

Qualifications:

  • B.A./B.S. required, and a minimum of three years relevant experience.
  • Knowledge and experience working with Google Apps, MS Office, and database platforms. Experience with systems like Constant Contact, Basecamp, web-content programs and web-based form builders is highly valuable.
  • Solid business writing skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work to meet deadlines. 
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Flexible, resourceful, and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team. 
  • Excellent client service and interpersonal skills to interface and coordinate with a diverse body of talented volunteers and staff members.
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment, with short turn-around deadlines, without sacrificing care and quality.
