Project Administrator Jobs in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada at Steele Properties

Title: Project Administrator

Company: Steele Properties

Location: Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada

About Steele Properties

Steele Properties is a real estate development and construction company based in the Fraser Valley. We are actively building single-family homes and have multiple projects in predevelopment, including additional residential, land development, and commercial development projects in our pipeline. We're a small team, and you'll be working with a company that's working to grow.

About the Role

You'll be responsible for the administrative side of project coordination — the work that keeps our projects organized and moving forward behind the scenes. This includes:

  • Contract administration and coordinating purchase orders and bid requests from trades and consultants
  • Reviewing and processing invoices for owner approval before they go to our accountant for payment
  • Managing receipts and supporting our accountant with the information they need
  • Managing insurance renewals across our portfolio of properties
  • Compliance and document tracking in our software, ensuring every trade on site has an executed purchase order, current WCB clearance, and insurance on file
  • Managing warranty inquiries from homeowners
  • Marketing and online presence — scheduling and posting content across our social media channels, and managing our Google Business Profile
  • Other tasks that help keep the company moving forward

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with strong attention to detail who is genuinely organized — someone who can spot a problem and build a system to solve it.

  • 2+ years of administrative, office coordination, or similar experience is a benefit
  • Experience in construction, either in the field or in the office, is an asset
  • Real estate experience is also an asset, including familiarity with Contracts of Purchase and Sale and administering sales
  • An appetite to learn, identify and solve problems
  • Strong written communication, comfortable drafting professional emails to vendors and clients
  • Confident on the phone
  • Comfortable with Dropbox, Microsoft Office, and Claude, and able to learn new software including JobTread and Dext

Compensation: $25–30 per hour, depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, 35–40 hours per week

Location: Chilliwack, BC — hybrid, minimum 3 days per week in office
