Job Description
AXE Steel is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Project Administrator to support our growing portfolio of structural steel projects across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including high-profile work with DFW Airport, Dallas Independent School District (DISD), and the City of Dallas.
This role is critical in ensuring smooth project execution by coordinating documentation, communication, and administrative processes between project managers, field teams, and clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to project managers and leadership team
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
- Track project timelines, deliverables, and compliance requirements
- Coordinate communication between internal teams, subcontractors, and clients
- Maintain accurate records and filing systems for all project-related documents
- Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and project updates
- Ensure compliance with company standards and client requirements
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in construction or project administration (steel or commercial construction preferred)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); project management software is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
Preferred Experience
- Experience working on municipal or public-sector projects (DFW Airport, schools, or city projects)
- Familiarity with construction documentation processes (RFIs, submittals, etc.)

Pay: $55,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
