The Role: Projects Administrator
The purpose of this role is to assist with project coordination and provide essential administrative support to the department. It contributes to the business by ensuring smooth project execution through task tracking, documentation maintenance, and liaison with internal and external stakeholders. The main focus areas include scheduling, reporting, and monitoring deadlines to ensure the timely completion of tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply 1–2 years of experience in an administrative or project support role, which may include internships.
- Coordinate projects by scheduling meetings, tracking tasks, and following up on deliverables.
- Maintain project documentation, records, and filing systems.
- Prepare reports, project plans, presentations, and meeting minutes.
- Support the team with data entry, correspondence, and filing.
- Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Monitor deadlines and provide reminders to ensure task completion.
- Perform ad hoc tasks to support departmental efficiency.
About You
- Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
- Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, MS Projects, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Keen attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Completed or currently pursuing a diploma or degree in engineering covering Draughting, Project management, and Engineering (Preferred).
- Relevant diploma or degree in administration, business, or project management (Advantageous).
