Our esteemed client in the Manufacturing industry is seeking a Purchasing / Procurement Assistant to join their dynamic team:
- Employment Type: Permanent
- Position: Purchasing / Procurement Assistant
- Location: Ulu Tiram, JB
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5.30pm
- Salary Package: Basic + Bonus
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and procure industrial components and equipment from international supply chains and digital sourcing platforms.
- Actively compare vendor pricing, product specifications, and supplier reliability to secure the best possible value and cost savings.
- Review product quality and specifications to ensure all procured items comply with requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, minimize production lead times, and streamline logistics/shipping timelines.
- Monitor market trends, track raw material shifts, and identify alternative component alternatives to support project timelines.
Job Requirements:
- Inexperienced candidates are welcome to apply as training will be provided.
- Minimum Diploma in any Engineering-related background would be preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Chinese to liaise with Chinese-speaking suppliers.
