The
* Radiologic Technologist (RT)
* works with Medical Providers and/or a Medical Assistants with the examination and treatment of GoHealth Urgent Care patients. This role is responsible for providing a variety of technical procedures and apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis for our GoHealth Urgent Care patients. This role is responsible for performing and analyzing patient x-rays and reporting results to Medical Providers. Additional responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of GoHealth Urgent Care Centers.
In a
collaborative
manner, the Radiologic Technologist will provide support to Medical Providers, Medical Assistants and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and
communication
.
* Hourly rate: $41-$53
* * Bonus eligible up to $600/month
* * Job Requirements
* *
Education
* * High School Diploma required
* Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program required
* Work Experience
* * Experience in a clinical setting preferred
* Required Licenses/Certifications
* * Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire, obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required at time of hire.
* State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist required at time of hire as applicable by state law.
* Essential Functions
* * Responsible for x-ray services as needed
* Under the direction of the clinical provider, perform x-ray services for patients by applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly.
* Ensure patients are positioned correctly on or in front of equipment and protected during use.
* Will need to push patient in a wheelchair
* Patient Registration
* Conduct patient registration, which includes securing required paperwork and insurance documentation, and verification of insurance and patient eligibility.
* Process co-pays and schedule patient appointments for assigned center
* Coordinate provider referrals to assigned Specialist
* Answer patient questions regarding their care and keep them informed of their status
* Patient Preparation and Rooming
* Inform technical staff of patient flow.
* Prepare patients for examination, which includes conducting interviews to verify patient information, record medical history; confirm
