Overview
Onsite training at the Revenue Cycle Shadeland Office in Indianapolis. Opportunity for remote schedule.
Evening shift between 1:30p-12a, 40 hours a week.
This position is responsible for executing team functions within IU Health Revenue Cycle Services. Ensures meeting quality standardized work processes that result in consistent outcomes that compare favorably to federal, state and hospital standards, policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Answering patient related phone calls: Handling calls from patients, in-house, and outside facilities.
Call resolution: Ensuring issues are resolved effectively.
Paging: Managing paging tasks.
Lead line communication: Calling lead line for clarity or help and emailing call center changes for on-call change callers.
On-call changes: Communicating on-call changes to seniors or leads via Teams or Jabber.
All operator duties: Performing all duties of an operator.
Requires understanding of medical record requirements, regulations and policies.
Requires a high level of interpersonal, problem solving, and analytic skills.
Requires effective written and verbal communication skills in both individual and group settings.
Requires ability to prioritize and process multiple tasks at once.
Requires the ability to meet objectives and standards.
Requires knowledge of personal computers using various types of word processing and database software.
Five years of Revenue Cycle experience preferred.
