Responsibilities:
A solicitor’s office receptionist is primarily responsible for managing the front desk, greeting clients and visitors, answering phone calls, and handling general office tasks. They also help with administrative duties and may assist attorneys with various tasks as needed.
Competencies for Successful Performance of Job Duties:
Working knowledge of computers and word processing; working knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
Skill in the operation of listed tools and equipment. Phone; personal computer; copy machine; fax machine; scanner.
Ability to perform clerical duties accurately; ability to effectively meet and deal with the public; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to handle stressful situations.
Speedy and accurate data entry in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to multi-task and work with frequent interruptions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Formal Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent, and two (2) years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Ability to obtain SLED Security and Privacy Certification within 6 months of hire.
