Job Description

An amazing new opportunity has become available to join the Portico front of house team as a part time Ground Floor Receptionist based at site consisting of 2 newly refurbished multi-occupied buildings in the Docklands area.

The small and friendly team based at the site are looking for an energetic Receptionist who will flourish in this trendy and fun environment. The buildings provide a new style of workplace environment – one where a sociable community of liked-minded people are complemented by an abundance of amenities.

Ultimately, the Receptionist will be the first point of contact for tenants and visitors. Meeting, greeting, and welcoming them into the building, and dealing with any queries they may have along the way. However, the perfect balance of social, admin and creative tasks as a receptionist in this wonderful team, means we really need someone with a great combination of skills in those areas.

The reception team are the glue that binds the site’s community. Liaising with different in-house departments is essential, building excellent working relationships with them to ensure that the overall service provided on the site is nothing short of exceptional. There will be some daily administrative tasks such as booking meeting rooms, collecting data for reporting and maintaining systems and databases. And then there is the creative side of the role, where the successful Receptionist will help to run the sites newsletters and social media channels.

Hours: 16 hours per week, 8 hour shifts on Thursday and Friday between 8:00 – 17:00 or 09:00 – 18:00, rotation every week.

Salary: £11,969

Please note that this position is to cover an initial 12-month maternity cover contract.

Qualifications

This role would be fitting for someone who is a great communicator with knowledge of exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills. A positive and proactive mindset, and keen eye for detail are essential to prosper in this role.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a customer facing role, preferably within a corporate or hospitality setting.
