Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Operations and Strategy, the Receptionist serves as the first line of communication for clients and visitors either over the phone or in person. As well, the Receptionist interacts with employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate individuals.
Answer and route calls to the appropriate individual, division, or department.
Complete and log initial client intake forms for ADRC team and handle basic agency questions from clients and public about agency services.
Coordinate incoming and outgoing correspondence.
Responsible for creating and/or updating a variety of forms, letters, reports, and memos.
Submit timesheets in a timely fashion, along with appropriate attachments and documents.
Maintain a daily log of activities to ensure accountability of time.
Submit leave requests for approval, in advance, to immediate supervisor: Director of Operations and Strategy
Other tasks as assigned by Director of Operations and Strategy.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (*can be acquired on the job)
Knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Ability and experience in expressing ideas effectively both orally and in writing.
The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, vendors, sponsors, state agencies, contractors, clients and their families.
Good record keeping skills.
Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computer (with knowledge of basic office software such as MS Word, email, etc.) and telephones.
Ability to exhibit courteousness and maintain high standards of customer service.
Education / Experience:
High school diploma required; two years of college preferred, or a combination of comparable education and experience.
Receptionist experience is preferred.
Essential Functions / Physical Requirements:

Ability to tolerate walking, standing, crouching, reaching, and sitting throughout the day.
Ability to meet the attendance requirements for the position.
Ability to “drive” to locations necessary to accomplish for position / program work.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
