Your focus as a receptionist will be to offer professional, high-quality customer service as the first point of contact within the home, as well as provide a range of administrative services.

Responsibilities

  • Answer the telephone and respond to enquiries at reception, redirect calls to relevant staff and record messages accordingly.
  • Complete reception‑related administration, maintain databases, and provide administrative assistance as required by the General Manager.
  • Maintain the general tidiness of the reception area and liaise with Housekeeping to ensure standards are maintained.

Requirements

  • DBS Disclosure check – the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

Desired qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Confidence in using computers.
  • A positive, friendly, and welcoming attitude.
  • Previous exposure to problem‑solving and client complaints.
