Function Reconciliation & Operation Services
About the Role
The Reconcile & Operation Services Officer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of operational and financial transaction data through structured reconciliation and data-management activities.
This role performs recurring daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations across multiple systems, investigates discrepancies, maintains reliable supporting documentation, and coordinates with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and Business Units to resolve outstanding items.
The position requires strong discipline, consistency, and attention to detail when handling high-volume data in technology-driven payment and telecommunications operations.
What You Will Do
Reconciliation and Data Accuracy
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly account and transaction reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial and operational records.
- Reconcile transactions and supporting data across multiple systems, reports, and operational sources.
- Ensure data integrity, organization, consistency, and accuracy throughout all reconciliation and data-management activities.
- Verify that financial transactions are accurately recorded and supported by appropriate documentation or reconciliation evidence.
- Maintain structured reconciliation files and clear supporting records for review and follow-up.
Discrepancy Investigation and Resolution
- Identify unmatched, missing, duplicate, or inconsistent transactions and data records.
- Investigate reconciliation discrepancies, determine the underlying cause, and follow through on resolution in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clear log of reconciliation exceptions, issue status, follow-up actions, and final resolution.
- Escalate unresolved or material discrepancies to the appropriate internal stakeholders with complete and accurate supporting information.
Operational Data Management
- Manage and process large volumes of operational and transaction data with a high degree of accuracy.
- Use Microsoft Excel for structured data entry, validation, comparison, reconciliation, and basic data processing.
- Maintain orderly working files, reference data, and supporting documentation to ensure traceability and operational control.
- Perform recurring operational activities consistently in accordance with established procedures, timelines, and quality standards.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and Business Units to resolve outstanding reconciliation issues.
- Coordinate data clarification, supporting-document requests, and issue follow-up with relevant stakeholders.
- Communicate reconciliation status, discrepancies, risks, and resolution progress clearly and systematically.
Process Improvement and Automation
- Identify opportunities to improve reconciliation controls, data-management processes, and operational efficiency.
- Recommend practical automation or process enhancements that reduce manual work and improve accuracy.
- Support the standardization and continuous improvement of reconciliation procedures, templates, and working methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, completeness, and organization of reconciliation and operational data.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies with appropriate supporting evidence.
- Maintain complete and traceable documentation for reconciled transactions and outstanding issues.
- Manage high-volume data accurately while maintaining consistency in repetitive operational activities.
- Collaborate effectively with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and Business Units to close reconciliation issues.
- Contribute to process improvements, stronger controls, and appropriate automation opportunities.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in reconciliation, finance operations, operational services, or a similar role.
- Experienced in managing and processing high-volume data with strong accuracy and consistency.
- Prior exposure to transaction reconciliation across multiple systems is an advantage.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry, data validation, comparison, reconciliation, and basic data processing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Possesses basic knowledge of telecommunication networks.
- Has a good understanding of technology-driven operations and payment services methodologies.
- Able to identify data inconsistencies and follow issues systematically through resolution.
- Detail-oriented, disciplined, and highly responsible in managing operational and financial data.
- Demonstrates diligence, consistency, and focus when performing repetitive operational tasks.
- Able to work independently with limited supervision while maintaining accountability for assigned deliverables.
- Able to collaborate effectively within a team and coordinate with multiple internal stakeholders.
- Prior experience working in the telecommunications and/or payment services industry.
- Proven ability to manage and process large volumes of data accurately.
- Strong interest in telecommunications, technology, and technology-driven operational services.
