Position Summary
The training manager is responsible for executing the design and delivery of training to support our paralegal and service employees. This role will be tasked with managing a team of training coordinators and updating and evolving training material, resources, and delivery methods to foster a remote and/or hybrid work force. This role will be responsible for overseeing the training of new employees and the ongoing development of existing employees.
Salary: $75,000.00 annually
Training Responsibilities and Objectives
Design, plan and implement training programs, policies and procedures.
Identify and assess current and future business training needs by consulting with department heads and reviewing current training material content and delivery.
Update and develop training to effectively engage and cultivate productive employees, including employees operating in a fully virtual/remote setting.
Create and administer proficiency tests after the completion of training courses to determine the effectiveness of training materials and strategies.
Research new training techniques and tools and suggest enhancements to existing customer service training programs.
Effectively organize, maintain, and document changes to training materials and resources.
Conduct ongoing refresher and cross-training modules in critical areas as needed.
Identify and provide opportunities for ongoing development of the program while maintaining a keen understanding of training trends, new developments and best practices. Search for gaps in training material or content that should be filled to ensure productivity among staff members.
Organize meetings with management before preparing course materials to ensure a detailed understanding of training subjects and processes.
Monitor and evaluate individual and organizational performance to ensure training is meeting business needs and improving performance.

Management Responsibilities and Objectives
Manage a team of training coordinators
Ensure employees adhere to company policies and procedures and address as needed
Coordinate with HR and upper management on employee concerns
Identify performance issues and training opportunities, and address with supervisors and team members as needed
Conduct quarterly conversations and annual reviews
Assist with recruiting, hiring and onboarding
Oversee all attendance matters including, but not limited to, PTO, VTO and OT
Assist with HLG quarterly projects as needed

Job Requirements
Language Ability:
Ability to communicate both verbally and in written format at an advanced level
Effectively present information in on-on-one and group situations with employees of the organization.
Communicate complex topics through written documents
Math Ability
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Outlook
Adequate experience using virtual meeting softwares
Education and Experience
REQUIRED:
5+ years in a training position
2+ years in a leadership position
Above average skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Proactive in finding solutions while also using discernment when escalating issues
Demonstrates ownership of work and maintains excellent quality standards
Ability to communicate both verbally and in written format at a high level
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with team members, internal partners, and clients.
PREFERRED:
Paralegal certification, similar legal services degree, or 5+ years of paralegal experience
Training experience in a Law Firm or Legal Service Provider
Bachelor’s degree in Pre-Law, Business, Communication, or other similar field
Experience with EOS and its management philosophy
Experience managing a group of leaders
Familiar with FDCPA guidelines.
Experience with effectively presenting information in one-on-one and group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Leading the team including but not limited to managing workflow, training new hires, creating and managing team schedules, evaluating performance, providing ongoing feedback to employees, helping to resolve employee issues and disputes, coaching and/or counseling employees as needed.
