Senior HR Systems Analyst (Workday – Payroll/Compensation/Time Tracking) – 3-Month Contract

Overview:
We’re looking for a seasoned Senior HR Systems Analyst with deep expertise in Workday Payroll (Americas), Compensation, and/or Time Tracking for a high-impact 3-month contract role. This position will act as a subject matter expert (SME), responsible for the end-to-end design, configuration, implementation, and support of Workday solutions that optimize HR, Payroll, and Time-related processes.
You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT to enhance system functionality, resolve issues, and ensure compliance across the U.S., Canada, and LATAM regions.

�� What You’ll Bring:
Required:

5+ years of hands-on experience in Workday, with strong expertise in Payroll, and proficiency in Compensation and/or Time Tracking.
Solid understanding of Workday configuration, business process design, and custom reporting.
Experience supporting payroll processes in the Americas (U.S., Canada, LATAM) with a strong grasp of regional compliance.
Proficiency in Workday EIBs, calculated fields, condition rules, and security configuration.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
Deep knowledge of payroll testing, audits, and compliance within Workday.
Strong command of Workday reporting tools, data manipulation, and dashboard creation.
Excellent analytical, communication, and time management skills.
A proactive, solution-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Preferred:

Experience with Workday Absence, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, or Expenses modules.
Familiarity with third-party payroll integrations (e.g., Safeguard).
Workday certifications in Payroll, Compensation, and/or Time Tracking.
CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification).
Experience supporting global/multi-country HR and payroll environments.

�� How You’ll Create Impact:
System Administration & Configuration

Configure and maintain Workday Payroll, Compensation, and/or Time Tracking modules.
Translate business needs into technical solutions; implement enhancements and integrations.
Manage Workday updates (semi-annual releases) and system improvements.
Develop and manage workflows, security roles, condition rules, and notifications.

Payroll, Compensation & Time Tracking Expertise

Lead Payroll configuration and compliance, ensuring accurate processing aligned with U.S., Canada, and LATAM requirements.
Troubleshoot and manage Time Tracking rules, accruals, and global calculations.
Support Compensation planning, configuration, and issue resolution.
Collaborate with HR and Payroll teams on audits, reconciliations, and reporting.

Testing Leadership

Own testing strategy for Payroll, Compensation, and Time modules.
Design and execute test cases and scenarios to validate configuration, data, and end-user functionality.

Data Integrity & Reporting

Build and maintain advanced reports and dashboards using Workday Report Writer and Calculated Fields.
Perform data audits to ensure accuracy across Payroll, Time, and Compensation modules.
Train and support internal teams to maximize the adoption and functionality of Workday tools.

Compliance & Optimization

Ensure adherence to local labor laws and internal policies.
Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline operations.
Support internal and external audits with required documentation and reports.

Future-Readiness

Stay current on Workday releases and industry best practices.
Lead adoption of new features, ensuring teams are prepared for upcoming changes.
