about this team
Reporting to the Senior Director, Health & Wealth, the Senior Manager, Compensation will lead a team of compensation professionals that support our global corporate employees (also known as the SSC) and North America distribution centre (DC) employees. This role will design and deliver compensation programs to attract, retain and motivate employees. It will also lead the development and implementation of compensation processes through analysis, consultation and enrollment.

This role holds global responsibility for SSC & DC Compensation programs and frameworks. It is a key role that partners with P&C business partners and sits in the space between finance and business partnering. The role needs the ability to balance business needs with fiscal responsibility, whilst also ensuring that we are creatively solutioning to solve problems for the business and our employees. In addition to holding the global Centre of Excellence for SSC compensation, this role is responsible for coordinating global SSC ranges, SSC Bonus and target setting, and annual cyclical processes. The role also holds leadership of the team that partners directly with each P&C Business partnering team that supports the global organization.

core responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of compensation professionals that partner with our P&C Business Partnering community to support the global SSC and North America DC population with compensation programs
Partner and consult closely with the P&C Business partners, cross-functional FP&A partners as well as International Health & Wealth teams to support our global SSC and North America DC population
Conduct benchmarking/market and best practice research & survey analysis to evaluate compensation competitiveness, monitor market trends, interpret results, and make recommendations for base salary ranges and overall pay programs
Lead annual processes around salary range building, salary planning, bonus planning, and market benchmarking for our global SSC population
Lead the annual compensation review and bonus cycles including cost and data analysis, program delivery, and digital roadmap, and any associated training and communications, in partnership with Talent Activation and P&C Digital teams
Responsible for project managing global processes and coordinating operationalization across the North America and in-region teams
Key partner with Corporate FP&A on global costing and annual planning, to ensure appropriate budget management for the SSC
Key representative for SSC Compensation Centre of Excellence across P&C functional groups
Responsible to support in job levelling roles, which is a responsibility held across the compensation team

qualifications
Post-secondary degree in a related field (e.g., finance, HR)
10+ years of work experience in HR and Compensation
3+ years of experience mentoring and/or leading a team
Experience developing and implementing compensation strategies
Strong stakeholder management experience
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
Workday experience
Strong data analytics skills
Detail-oriented and committed to a high degree of accuracy
Ability to perform multiple tasks and prioritize workload
High level of discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive information
Highly ethical and able to deal with confidential issues with tact, discretion & confidentiality

compensation and benefits package
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $134,100 – $176,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and, subject to program eligibility requirements.
