We are looking for a Space Administrator & Program Facilitator, a person who will lovingly care for our hub space and, at the same time, take an active role in the implementation of our programs.
Imagine a role that balances practical care with human communication. This person will ensure that our space runs flawlessly every day, both for our team and for the events it hosts. At the same time, they will be the “face” of the organization during our programs, welcoming and coordinating participants. You will receive full training in our methodologies, but you must enjoy organization, communication, and have a hands-on spirit!
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Space care and organization: Ensuring that our space, located in the Lakkos area in the center of Heraklion, is always fully functional, tidy, and welcoming. Managing supply orders and daily practical matters.
- Maintenance coordination: Communicating and coordinating with technicians or suppliers for any repairs, maintenance, or improvements the office needs.
- Space configuration for events: Arranging and preparing the physical space according to the needs of events, workshops, or meetings. Moving furniture, adjusting projection equipment, and arranging for catering if required.
- Event hosting management: Overseeing and supporting the venue during events we host, even when they take place on weekends. (Naturally, all legal procedures and compensations are strictly followed for weekend work).
- Program facilitation (Online & On-site): Actively participating as a facilitator by welcoming the audience, coordinating the flow, and supporting the participants. This role directly involves our programs, which are primarily held during afternoon hours.
- Technical support for online activities: Ensuring the smooth running of our digital meetings by guiding participants on platforms such as Zoom (e.g., managing breakout rooms, polls), providing a seamless experience.
ABOUT BIZRUPT
Bizrupt is a small but dynamic non-profit organization based in Heraklion. Our goal is to support people living in the Greek periphery in changing their career paths, learning new skills, developing their knowledge, and/or starting their own businesses. To achieve this, we design and implement holistic programs that include training in modern professional and business tools, soft skills development, and guidance through specialized mentoring.
Since 2017, Bizrupt has supported 4,261 beneficiaries through its programs, contributing to the creation of 140 new businesses. Additionally, we have organized 110 successful events with 8,547 participants. We are a small team that emphasizes dedication, caring, and flexibility.
WHAT KNOWLEDGE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE
- Familiarity with online collaboration and training tools (Zoom, Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, etc.).
- Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English languages, both written and spoken.
- (Desirable) Experience in group coordination, facilitation or public speaking/presentation.
- (Desirable) Practical experience in facility/office management or event organization.

- Hands-on mindset and quick problem-solving: In a vibrant space, unexpected events are part of the game. We want you to be able to find solutions quickly and autonomously.
- Excellent communication skills: Whether you’re coordinating with a technician in the morning or hosting an afternoon workshop with dozens of participants, we want you to exude positivity, professionalism, and clarity.
- Flexible working hours: Due to the nature of the role, the standard working hours are 13:00 – 21:00. We are looking for someone who is completely comfortable with this schedule, as well as managing weekend events.
- Consistency and honesty: There is not much room for error in a small team, but there is certainly room for discussion, analysis, and support. We know very well that we all make mistakes! Therefore, we want you to share your thoughts honestly and be consistent in your words and actions.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU
- Salary: For candidates without previous experience, the starting salary is set at €920 gross. If you have relevant experience, the starting salary is negotiable and will be adjusted accordingly. Weekend work is paid additionally with all legal increments, and in no case do we exceed 40 working hours per week.
- Development perspective: The first 6 months serve as an onboarding period for our methodology and programs. Upon successful completion of this period and the fully autonomous assumption of your duties, a re-evaluation and salary adjustment are foreseen.
- 30+ days off in total: We take three weeks off in August, one week between Christmas and New Year’s and 2 extra days at Easter. Additionally, we provide 10 days off to use whenever you wish. Rest is very important to all of us!
- Happy Fridays: The whole team eats together on the last Friday of every month. We decide together whether to have brunch or lunch and where to order from.
- Continuing education and professional development: We conduct at least three internal training sessions per year. Each employee can suggest e-learning courses, webinars, workshops, and events related to their field, and we will cover the costs.
- Team culture: Continuous support and guidance within a team of young people who prioritize and respect each other’s human needs. Frequent group activities, such as our annual retreat and small office celebrations.
- Inspiring workspace: Our offices are located in the center of Heraklion (Vikela 34-36, Lakkos area) – one of the city’s historical districts that has seen rapid development recently. In addition to housing our team, our space hosts most of our activities and functions as an incubator for budding businesses.
