The Staff Assistant (Executive Representation) will support and be responsible for representing the C-level executive externally, including but not limited to acting as a liaison between the executive and other business partners, and team up with senior executives to attend important business conferences. The ideal candidate also plays a crucial role in communication, both internally and externally, identifying and addressing potential issues or roadblocks that could impact the executive’s work.
Key Responsibilities
Attend business conferences or events with C-level executive, writing and sending emails on behalf of the C-level executive, drafting memos, and preparing any documents or reports necessary;
Act as a spokesperson for the executive, communicating with internal and external stakeholders, and serving as a point of contact between the executive and other organizations or crucial business partner;
Serve as a filter for information and requests, prioritizing what the executive needs to address, and identifying issues that could impact the executive’s work;
Manage sensitive and confidential information with high level of confidentiality and discretion;
Handle the ad-hoc special projects as assigned by the executive professionally, ensuring they are on track;
Travel with executives if needed.
Qualifications
5+ years experience as a staff assistant to a C-level executive, preferably within a governmental or policy-driven environment;
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with high-level stakeholders, both inside and outside the organization;
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively;
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of integrity;
Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Government, or related field (preferred);
Strong interpersonal skills, with a proactive and positive approach to problem-solving;
Ability to work flexible hours.
Preferred Skills
Experience working directly with elected officials, government agencies, or policy executives;
Strong understanding of the legislative process and government operations is highly preferred;
Familiarity with operations, legislative tracking software, or other relevant tools;
Ability to work under pressure and in a high-stakes, fast-moving environment.
