Administrative Functions
Assist in maintaining a current listing of all resident care employee phone numbers and update the business office accordingly.
Maintain daily tardy and absenteeism calendars and report issues to the Director of Nursing Services (DNS).
Coordinate employee scheduling, including modifications based on work restrictions, and ensure proper documentation.
Assist in completing employee records, forms, and reports related to staffing and staffing issues.
Answer calls related to staffing and scheduling, and coordinate interviews for potential hires.
Ensure new hires have schedules and time cards prior to orientation.
Consult with staff regarding staffing needs and report recommendations to the DNS.
Develop good interdepartmental relationships and ensure prompt administrative operations.
Review and address complaints or grievances related to staffing.
Committee and Personnel Functions
Attend facility committee meetings and prepare relevant reports.
Assist in interviewing CNAs and maintaining confidentiality of employee information.
Ensure licensing and certification compliance for staff.
Report incidents of fraud or unauthorized access to information.
Staff Development and Safety
Coordinate staff orientation and in-service training programs.
Report safety hazards and ensure safety procedures are followed.
Equipment, Supplies, and Budget
Report supply needs and ensure work areas are clean and stocked.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking.
Ability to apply mathematical concepts.
Supportive team member with decision-making skills.
Patience, tact, and ability to handle difficult situations.
Physical and
Work Environment
Ability to move intermittently, lift up to 25 pounds, and work in various environments.
Subject to interruptions, hostile residents or visitors, and exposure to hazards and infectious diseases.
