Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Stock Remisier at Mercury Securities. The Stock Remisier will focus on developing and managing a personal client portfolio, promoting the firm’s stockbroking services, and executing trades in equities and equity-related instruments on Bursa Malaysia and selected foreign exchanges. Responsibilities include providing market insights and investment ideas, monitoring client positions, and ensuring timely and accurate trade execution in line with regulatory and internal compliance requirements. The role also involves supporting clients with account-related matters, margin facilities, and administrative documentation, while maintaining strong professional relationships and high standards of customer service. The Stock Remisier is expected to collaborate with internal teams where needed and uphold Mercury Securities’ reputation for integrity and service excellence.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of capital markets, equities trading, and Bursa Malaysia rules and practices.
  • Proficiency in client relationship management, including prospecting, onboarding, and portfolio servicing.
  • Ability to interpret market data, conduct basic investment research, and communicate insights clearly.
  • Familiarity with trading platforms, order management systems, and standard brokerage operations.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and risk management in securities dealing.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
  • Relevant regulatory licenses or qualifications required by Securities Commission Malaysia or Bursa Malaysia (or willingness and eligibility to obtain them).
  • Diploma or degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field is advantageous; prior brokerage or financial services experience is a plus.
