Location: City of Albany

Albany Law School seeks applications for the role of Student Affairs Assistant. This position assists with the implementation of programming and initiatives that enhance student life on campus. The Student Affairs Assistant processes event planning forms, places related orders (food, supplies), assists with event setup and performs other related duties for student run events, orientation, commencement, moot court and wellness programs.

The Student Affairs Assistant also supports the Student Affairs Office with record maintenance, editing and updating documents and materials, conducting research, scheduling meetings, and assisting with work-study student hiring and scheduling.

The successful candidate will possess:

Associate’s or higher degree.

Two or more years of experience in higher education, event planning or related field.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to respond to student needs while following established policies and procedures.

Meticulous attention to detail.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite products, databases, and the internet.

Ability to move items of up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Compensation:

The estimated pay range for this position is $21.00-$28.00/hour, plus comprehensive benefits package. The pay rate offered will be based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, and in consideration of internal equity. Comprehensive benefit package includes medical, dental, vision, retirement plan with 5% employer contribution, employer paid life insurance and disability coverage and generous paid time off (PTO, volunteer time off, holidays and parental leave).
