Duties
/Responsibilities
Administrative Duties:
Delivering supply orders to clinics and departments
Conducting inventory checks and maintaining accurate records
Shipping and receiving of supplies
Providing clerical and secretarial support for department
Providing effective telephone coverage for incoming calls as needed
Filing, scanning, data entry, maintaining spreadsheets and shredding
Percentage of time: 100%
Minimum Qualifications
Position Summary:
The Student Assistant provides direct support to the Material Services Department. This position works closely with and collaborates with the Material Services Assistant Manager and Fiscal Affairs Manager.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position:
Current UGA student
Prior administrative experience (preferred)
Interest in Healthcare setting (preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Attention to detail and organized
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Respect for confidentiality of health and employee information
Computer skills to include Microsoft Office Outlook and Word
Physical Demands
Lift and move heavy objects (up to 40 lbs.). Lift, stoop, bend, and perform a variety of tasks with good manual dexterity. Stand for long periods of time (4-8 hours). See small objects clearly and discriminate color. Properly hear and transcribe phone orders. Perform fine motor skills.
