Founded in 2023, Women in Animation Nepal is a non-profit organisation dedicated to advancing women’s and gender minorities’ participation in the technology and creative industry. We support aspiring animation and visual effects artists through education, engagement, and employment opportunities in the creative and technology sectors. Our mission is to close the gender gap and mitigate education challenges by providing scholarships and student support services. Since our founding, WIA Nepal has provided scholarships to more than 100+ early-career women and students.

Role Description The Student Support role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chaauni, Kathmandu. This role involves providing guidance and assistance to students, responding to their inquiries, and helping them navigate our ongoing academic programs. The Student Support will coordinate schedules, maintain student records, and support communication between students, instructors, and organizational leadership. They will help organize orientation sessions, information briefings, and feedback collection to enhance the student experience. The role also includes assisting with event logistics, preparing learning materials, and contributing to a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students.

Qualifications

  Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills to support diverse students effectively.

  Organizational and time-management abilities, including handling records, schedules, and multiple tasks simultaneously.

  Basic administrative skills, such as data entry, documentation, and use of common office and collaboration tools.

  Comfort with digital communication platforms, including email, messaging apps, and video conferencing tools.

  Demonstrated empathy, patience, and commitment to maintaining an inclusive, non-discriminatory learning environment.

  Ability to work on-site in Kathmandu and collaborate with staff, instructors, and external partners.

  Prior experience in student services, education support, community programs, or similar roles is an advantage.
