Are you ready to jumpstart your career with a summer internship at Tyson Foods? We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Accounting & Payroll Intern to support our Amarillo Complex. This role offers hands‑on experience in payroll operations, administrative support, and financial processes within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
As an intern, you will gain practical exposure to real-time payroll processing, data entry, and cross‑functional office operations while contributing to meaningful work that supports our team members and business operations.
Key Responsibilities

- Support payroll processing through accurate data entry, validation, and reconciliation activities
- Assist with administrative tasks including record maintenance, reporting, and documentation
- Apply basic math and problem‑solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Collaborate with cross‑functional office teams and support coverage across work areas as needed
- Adapt quickly in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines

Requirements Education
- Incoming junior, senior, or graduate student with at least one semester remaining
- Preferred majors:
Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Experience
- Previous work experience preferred; exposure to office, payroll, or administrative functions is a plus
Communication & Professional Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow processes, policies, and detailed instructions
- Professional, reliable, and collaborative
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required
- Basic knowledge of financial or payroll systems (SAP exposure is a plus)
- Strong data entry accuracy, numerical aptitude, and attention to detail

Work Hours
- Available to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer

- Must reside within a commutable distance (60 miles or less) unless relocation is provided
