Job Summary
The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for planning and coordinating inventory, purchasing, and product supply to ensure product availability while maintaining optimal inventory levels. This role works closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and suppliers to support business demand and improve supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Demand Planning & Forecasting
- Develop forecasts by SKU, brand, and sales channel
- Analyze historical sales, market trends, seasonality, and promotional activities to improve forecast accuracy.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Commercial teams to incorporate business plans into demand forecasts.
- Continuously monitor forecast accuracy and identify opportunities for improvement.
Inventory & Supply Planning
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to achieve target service levels while minimizing excess and obsolete stock.
- Monitor stock coverage, inventory aging, slow-moving, and fast-moving products.
- Recommend replenishment plans based on demand forecasts and inventory targets.
- Identify potential stock shortages or overstocks and propose mitigation plans.
- Monitor import schedules, shipment status, customs clearance, and arrival timelines.
- Adjust demand and supply plans based on shipment delays or changes in lead times
Data Analysis & Process Improvement
- Analyze sales performance, demand trends, and inventory KPIs.
- Monitor key metrics such as Forecast Accuracy, Inventory Turnover, Days of Inventory (DOI), and Out-of-Stock (OOS).
- Provide recommendations based on data to improve planning efficiency.
- Ensure data accuracy within ERP or planning systems
