Role Description The System Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Almaty, responsible for maintaining and improving the company’s IT infrastructure. This role includes installing, configuring, and monitoring servers, workstations, and core applications to ensure stable and secure operation. The System Administrator will manage user accounts and permissions, perform regular backups, and apply updates and patches in line with security and compliance standards. Daily tasks involve diagnosing and resolving technical issues, providing timely technical support to employees, and coordinating with vendors or external service providers when needed. The role also includes monitoring network performance, documenting configurations and procedures, and contributing to IT process improvements and system upgrades to support the company’s business goals.
Qualifications
- Strong System Administration skills, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems and servers.
- Hands-on experience with Troubleshooting and Technical Support to diagnose, prioritize, and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Knowledge of Network Administration, including managing network equipment, monitoring performance, and ensuring network security.
- Solid foundation in Information Technology principles, best practices, and security standards relevant to corporate environments.
- Experience with backup and recovery solutions, user account management, and access control.
- Ability to document procedures clearly and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Linux, Cisco) and prior experience in financial or banking environments are advantageous.
