Job Summary
The Talent Acquisition & HR Generalist plays a critical role in driving the company’s talent strategy and supporting a positive, high-performance culture. This position is responsible for executing full-cycle recruiting, conducting compensation analysis, leading employee engagement efforts, and supporting performance management processes. The ideal candidate will have strong HR generalist skills, deep recruiting experience, and a background in the oil and gas industry.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Compensation:
Conduct market and internal compensation analyses to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices.
Partner with hiring managers to develop compensation recommendations for new hires and promotions.
Maintain compensation structures; participate in and analyze salary survey data.
Talent Acquisition:
Manage full-cycle recruitment: sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn, networking, and industry-specific platforms.
Collaborate with hiring managers to write accurate job descriptions and define recruiting strategies.
Facilitate new hire orientation and early engagement touchpoints.
Performance Management:
Lead administration of the performance review cycle, ensuring adherence to timelines and processes.
Coach managers and employees on setting goals, delivering feedback, and improving performance.
Support the implementation of training and development plans aligned with performance goals.
HR Reporting & Compliance:
Track and report on key HR metrics including turnover, time-to-fill, and engagement trends.
Ensure HR programs and policies comply with federal, state, and local labor laws.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in cross-functional HR initiatives and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered
5+ years of progressive HR experience, including full cycle recruiting and compensation work.
Oil and gas industry experience is required
Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, UKG, Workday).
Strong sourcing and candidate engagement skills.
Solid understanding of compensation practices and tools.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills and Certifications
PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
College recruiting experience preferred
Work Environment
Office-based with occasional travel for recruitment events or training.
Standard business hours, with extended hours during peak HR periods (e.g., performance reviews, open enrollment).
