Job Description:
Express Employment Professionals of Clarksville is currently seeking reliable and experienced candidates for a Temporary Accounts Receivable Assistant position with a Specialized Wire and Cable Manufacturer in Cumberland City, TN. This position will pay $20.00 per hour, and a Fingerprint Background Check will be required.
Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable Reconciliation:
Review and reconcile shipping documents (e.g., invoices, bills of lading) against payments received through the payment portal, and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the system.
Documentation Verification:
Cross-check shipment and payment records to identify discrepancies, and communicate with other departments to resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Data Entry and Reporting:
Enter payment and shipping data into the accounting system. Prepare regular reports on outstanding balances, discrepancies, and progress on reconciliation.
Payment Application:
Apply customer payments to open invoices, ensuring proper documentation and allocation of funds.
Administrative Support:
Assist in general administrative tasks within the finance team, including maintaining accurate records, filing, and preparing documents for audits.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with the Accounts Payable and Shipping teams to ensure all records are up-to-date and discrepancies are promptly addressed.
Good attitude, performance, and attendance is essential.
Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree.
Must have 1 – 2 years of AR, AP, and general accounting functions.
Proficient with MS Excel, Quick Books, and/or SAP.
Possess excellent communication skills.
Able to handle confidential information.
Able to work on a temporary project for 12 weeks.
