Training & Development Manager Jobs in Casper, WY at Wyoming Machinery Company
The position’s essential functions are as follows:
Develop training programs and coach others involved in training efforts, providing effective growth and development opportunities, including technical, leadership, and other professional development opportunities.
Coordinate and oversee the training schedule and technical and professional development training delivery at all company locations.
Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) to develop, schedule, and track company trainings, including instructor-led, online, on-the-job, and task trainings.
Conduct follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results; modify programs as needed; develop effective training materials utilizing various media.
Utilize training staff, managers, and supervisors to systematically review all company jobs. The review will include necessary competencies, training, and skill sets. Audit existing staff to determine current training gaps. Develop employee-training programs by position based on competency reviews and gap analysis.
Assist with developing career paths for each employee and or position. Track course content, employee course registrations, career development, and other employee development activities through the company’s LMS. Responsible for maintaining employee-training profiles, also called “training transcripts”.
Develop and maintain communications such as bulletin boards, electronic media, and newsletters to ensure employees are aware of training opportunities.
Develop and monitor spending against the departmental budget.
Exemplify the organization’s desired culture and philosophies. Work effectively as a team member with other management members and the Human Resources staff.
Develops, writes, and coordinates training manuals, working with other trainers for specific details. The training manuals should include: course content, visual charts, audio-visual, slides, etc. Type the initial and/or final drafts of manuals.
Managed all company training staff, including all training specialists, coordinators, and support staff.
Confer with management, supervisors, and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, business initiatives, and technologies.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in education, business administration, liberal arts, or at least five years of equivalent teaching.
At least five years of experience in a corporate or business setting, preferably in organizational development, human resources, personnel, or administration. Proven ability to lead by example and foster mentoring relationships.
Outstanding verbal, written, multi-tasking, and presentation skills. Ability to create momentum and foster organizational change.
Must have tertiary qualifications in human resources, training and development, or business studies.
Overnight travel required.
PREFERRED
Master’s degree preferred.
Certified Professional in Learning and Performance through the American Society of Learning and Development preferred.
