About The Role

The Transport Planner Executive is responsible for coordinating daily transportation and logistics operations to ensure customer orders are delivered safely, on time, and in full. The role oversees transportation planning across Direct Store Delivery (DSD), interplant movements, sea freight, and reverse logistics while working closely with transport providers, internal stakeholders, and third-party logistics (3PL) partners. This position also supports continuous improvement initiatives, operational reporting, regulatory compliance, and health and safety standards to ensure efficient and reliable transport operations.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and manage daily transportation activities across Direct Store Delivery (DSD), Reverse Logistics, Key Accounts (KA), On-Premise Key Accounts (OPKA), Sea Freight, and Local & Cross-Border Interplant movements to ensure products are delivered safely, on time, and in full.
- Work closely with transport providers, third-party logistics (3PL) partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure transportation operations run smoothly. Resolve delivery issues promptly and escalate operational concerns when necessary.
- Plan and coordinate truck scheduling, dispatching, slot bookings, and transportation activities to maximize truck utilization and ensure efficient delivery operations.
- Monitor daily deliveries by tracking shipment progress, truck arrivals, customer delivery schedules, Proof of Delivery (POD), and settlement status to ensure service commitments are met.
- Collaborate with Planning, Warehouse, Customer Service, and Distribution teams to manage delivery schedules, customer requests, transportation changes, and cross-border or interplant movements.
- Coordinate logistics collections from manufacturing plants, distribution centres, and suppliers, while monitoring yard operations, truck turnaround time, and shipment movement to maintain smooth transportation flow.
- Prepare daily transportation reports, monitor delivery performance and key logistics KPIs, and provide timely updates on operational progress and transportation issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve transportation processes, reduce operational inefficiencies, and support continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen and other operational excellence programs.
- Ensure all transportation activities comply with company policies, KORE requirements, QSE, HSE, and other quality, safety, and regulatory standards, while maintaining a safe and secure working environment.
- Participate in departmental, regional, and company-wide projects and perform other transportation-related duties as assigned to support business and operational needs.
What You Bring
- 2–4 years of experience in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, or a related field, preferably within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of transportation operations, third-party logistics (3PL), and Route-to-Market (RTM) strategies, with the ability to support cost-effective and On-Time In-Full (OTIF) deliveries.
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, understand business requirements, and provide effective transportation solutions.
- Good knowledge of logistics planning, supplier performance management, transportation capacity planning, and service delivery to ensure efficient and reliable operations.
- Understanding of fleet operations, third-party fleet management, and transportation regulations, with the ability to optimize fleet utilization while ensuring compliance.
- Familiarity with transportation safety standards, including Driver Management, Vehicle Management, Journey Management, and Transport Management, as well as compliance with local Road Transport Department (RTD) regulations.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with strong analytical skills and the ability to prepare reports, analyze data, and perform cost-benefit analysis to support business decisions.
- Willing to work on a shift basis and alternate Saturdays to support operational requirements.
