Red Roof Fort Lee Animal Hospital is a small, independent practice with a loyal local following and a team that genuinely cares about each other—and loves sharing good food.
This is a hybrid role starting with both front desk (phones, scheduling, client communication) and backroom (assisting the doctor, preparing for exams) responsibilities.
You’ll begin by learning how the full clinic works, then gradually grow into the role that fits your strengths—whether that’s customer care, technical support, or a balance of both.
What You’ll Do:
Front desk: answering phones, scheduling, client communication
Backroom: assisting with pets, preparing for exams, general medical support
Help keep the clinic running smoothly with calm, positive energy
Be part of a team that enjoys working hard and eating well
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
Lives in or near Fort Lee (local preferred)
Is reliable, kind, and quick on their feet
Is organized, emotionally intelligent, and okay getting a little fur on their scrubs
Has some life experience and common sense—not just job titles
Enjoys learning new things and working as part of a diverse team
Qualifications:
1+ year experience in veterinary, medical, or client-facing setting required
3+ years of experience preferred for top pay consideration
Cornerstone software proficiency a plus
Strong multitasking, communication, and client service skills preferred
Must be able to work calmly around pets and support both front and back office operations
Education:
2-Year college degree preferred (or equivalent work/life experience)
High school diploma minimum
Strong reading comprehension and task execution required
Bonus If You:
Have previous veterinary or medical setting experience
Can handle Cornerstone, phone lines, or veterinary assisting confidently
Love trying different foods and don’t mind sharing lunch time with the team

Pay: $18.50 – $23.50 per hour
