Our successful and growing small animal hospital is looking for an overnight Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant to join our family. This is a great opportunity for an animal lover with strong administrative, organizational, computer, communication, and relationship skills. The ideal candidate is someone who is articulate and friendly, with a professional and patient demeanor. Experience in customer service is required, experience in the veterinary field is a plus. Duties include but are not limited to answering calls, welcoming clients, checking patients in/out during visits, scheduling appointments, preparing for appointments prior to the patient’s arrival and data entry.
We run a fast-paced clinic that sees patients during regular daytime hours as well as on an emergency basis after hours. We are currently seeking an overnight shift receptionist (must be open to working weekends). It is important that any possible candidate have a strong work ethic, thrive in a team environment and be comfortable working with animals as well as communicating with their owners.
Examples of Receptionist Responsibilities:
Answering phone calls
Scheduling and setting up appointments
Checking clients/pets in and out and processing payments
Provide assistance to our Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians when needed
Greet patients and their owners as they arrive
Calm and soothe anxious patients and owners in emergency situations
Adhere to hospital’s safety and wellness regulations
Go over estimates for recommended treatment plans
Keep a clean and well organized work space
Scan/attach documents to patients’ files
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 – $15.00 per hour
