Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at a new veterinary clinic. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and excellent communication skills to provide exceptional service to our clients and their pets. As the first point of contact for pet owners, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for both animals and their owners.
Responsibilities
Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, providing a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently.
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services offered.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
Assist with the intake process by gathering necessary information from clients.
Process payments and manage billing inquiries with professionalism.
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and veterinarians to ensure seamless patient care.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the reception area and waiting room.
Educate clients on basic animal husbandry, medication administration, and veterinary terminology as needed.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills or experiences:
Familiarity with animal handling techniques and knowledge of animal physiology.
Experience working in a veterinary clinic or kennel environment.
Understanding of veterinary terminology to communicate effectively with staff and clients.
Proficiency in aseptic techniques relevant to animal care settings.
Must be able to efficiently work alone at times
Must be able to work Saturdays.
At least 2+ years of veterinary receptionist experience.
Pay will be determined based on experience!
