WorkForce Software (WFS) Functional Consultant (Absence Management)
Job Summary:
Next Generation, Inc, an Equal-Opportunity Employer, is seeking an experienced WorkForce Software (WFS) Absence Management Functional Consultant to support the design, configuration, and implementation of the Absence Management module. The ideal candidate will have a deep expertise in WFS Absence Management, a strong understanding of global or U.S. leave policies, and the ability to translate business requirements into functional solutions within the WorkForce Software platform.
Job Responsibilities:
Support the implementation of WorkForce Software Absence Management module
Gather and document business requirements related to time off, leave absence, FMLA, sick leave, PTO and other absence policies.
Configure WFS Absence Management based on business requirements and compliance needs
Partner with cross-functional (HR, Payroll, Timekeeping) to ensure seamless integration of absence rules and policies
Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to leave calculations, workflows, accruals, and eligibility.
Conduct user acceptance (UAT), provide training, and create end-user documentation
Stay current with regulatory and statutory leave laws to ensure ongoing compliance in system configuration
Support go-live activities and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems or related field.
3+ years of functional experience with WorkForce Software, specifically. Iin Absence Management
Proven experience configuring absence rules, eligibility criteria, accruals and leave workflows within WFS.
Strong knowledge of U.S. leave policies, including FMLA, state-specific programs, and disability
Experience working with HR, Payroll, and IT teams on cross-functional initiatives
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal guidance
Knowledge of data flows between WFS and HCM/Payroll systems (eg Oracle, SAP Workday)
WorkForce Software certifications, particularly in Absence Management
Experience with Agile project methodology is a plus
Familiarity with Time & Attendance is a plus
Job Benefits:
Competitive FTE salary range based on experience, education, and geographical location of $100,000 – $120,000 USD base. Benefits for full-time employees include:
