Job Summary

The Data Entry Clerk or Document Officer is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining company records and databases. The role ensures data accuracy, proper document management, and timely reporting while supporting administrative and operational activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, update, and maintain information in electronic databases and filing systems.
  • Enter data accurately and efficiently into company systems and records.
  • Verify and validate information to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Identify and correct errors, discrepancies, or missing information in records.
  • Maintain organized physical and electronic filing systems for easy retrieval.
  • Support departments by providing accurate information and administrative assistance.
  • Monitor data quality and ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Prepare reports, summaries, and data extracts as requested by management.
  • Assist with data storage, backup, and record retention activities.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

Qualifications

  • Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in data entry, clerical work, or office administration is an advantage.
  • Ability to use inventory management systems or warehouse management software (WMS).
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
