Role Description The Writer role at Independent Tutoring is a full-time, on-site position located in Surakarta. The Writer is responsible for creating clear, engaging written materials such as lesson handouts, study guides, practice questions, exams, and explanatory content that support tutoring sessions. Daily tasks include collaborating with tutors to understand curriculum needs, drafting and revising educational content, and ensuring materials align with learning objectives and student levels. The Writer will also refine existing materials, maintain consistent style and tone, and help organize content into accessible formats for both tutors and students. This role requires regular communication with the teaching team, adherence to deadlines, and careful attention to accuracy and clarity in all written work.
Qualifications

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to produce clear, structured educational materials.
  • Ability to conduct basic research to support content development and ensure accuracy of academic topics.
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working closely with tutors and other team members.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Comfort with classroom or tutoring environments and an interest in pedagogy and student learning processes.
  • Proficiency with standard office and document tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, shared online drives).
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality, learner-centered content.
