About This Role
Groupe Aldelia Limited (Aldelia Nigeria)—a global human resources and recruitment consultancy—is recruiting a 3D Model Specialist / Administrator (Oil & Gas) on behalf of an oil and gas client in Lagos State. This senior technical role requires at least 12 years of experience in administering, integrating, and maintaining 3D plant design models and engineering databases (such as SP3D, AVEVA E3D, PDMS, or AutoCAD Plant 3D) for complex offshore and onshore projects throughout FEED, Detailed Engineering, and EPC/EPIC phases.
Key Responsibilities
- 3D Model & Database Administration: Administer and maintain project 3D engineering models and relational design databases; manage system access, performance, software configurations, data integrity, and version control.
- Multidisciplinary Coordination & Clash Detection: Coordinate model integration across piping, structural, electrical, instrumentation, and civil disciplines; execute clash detection runs and lead 3D model reviews.
- Model Quality & Engineering Workflows: Review 3D models for quality assurance and compliance with project CAD/BIM specifications; implement change management procedures for engineering modifications.
- Project & Team Support: Provide model setup, custom catalog/spec adjustments, technical troubleshooting, and guidance to multidisciplinary design teams across FEED, EPC, and EPIC project stages.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc. / B.Eng.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 12 years of 3D model administration experience in the Oil & Gas industry (offshore and onshore experience required).
- Software & Technical Competencies: Hands-on mastery of SmartPlant 3D (SP3D), AVEVA E3D, PDMS, or AutoCAD Plant 3D; proficiency in database administration, plant design systems, clash detection, data integrity, and engineering document management.
- Preferred Certifications: Certified Specialist/Administrator in SmartPlant 3D (SP3D), AVEVA E3D/PDMS, or related plant design tools. COREN or equivalent professional body registration is an added advantage.
