What You’ll Be Doing
As a Ward Clerk, you’ll provide essential administrative and customer service support to nurses, medical staff and allied health professionals. Working under the direction of the Nurse/Unit Manager, you’ll use your initiative and organisational skills to keep ward operations running efficiently.
- Provide professional, compassionate customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff.
- Deliver accurate ward administration, including patient data entry, records management and maintaining inpatient files.
- Support patient flow and ward operations through timely processing of documentation and information.
- Coordinate the safe storage and return of patient belongings, clothing, files and ward resources.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to respond to competing priorities and resolve day-to-day administrative challenges.

- Effective communication skills including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in the spoken word and ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels.
