Overview
Social Media Specialist Jobs in WP. Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at G2G
Title: Social Media Specialist
Company: G2G
Location: WP. Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
About the Role
G2G.com is Southeast Asia’s leading marketplace for digital goods, in-game currencies, and
gaming services. We’re growing fast, and our social media presence needs to keep pace.
We’re looking for a Social Media Specialist who is AI-native by habit, not by aspiration. You’ll
own the end-to-end content lifecycle — independently originating content and campaign ideas
grounded in our brand guidelines and performance data, translating them into a content plan,
and producing short-form video and copy using AI generation tools.
This is not a role where you wait for briefs to land in your inbox. You think in platforms, move
fast, and hold yourself to a high creative standard even when the tools do the heavy lifting.
What You’ll Do
Content Strategy & Planning
- Independently originate campaign and content ideas grounded in brand guidelines and
performance data — not just execute briefs from the Social Lead — and develop the
content plan: formats, platform mix, creative angles, and posting cadence
- Own the content calendar from planning through execution — what goes out, when, and
why
- Proactively pitch content and campaign ideas grounded in performance data and brand
guidelines; if a format is gaining traction, you bring the proposal, not wait to be asked
AI Video & Visual Production
- Produce short-form video content using AI generation tools (e.g. Kling, Runway, Pika,
Higgsfield, or equivalent)
- Write and iterate prompts to achieve brand-consistent, publish-ready outputs with
minimal rework
- Deliver platform-formatted outputs: 9:16 for TikTok/Reels, 1:1 and 4:5 for feed, 16:9
where applicable
- Quality-control every output before submission — AI-generated does not mean auto-
approved
AI Copy & Scripting
- Use AI writing tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, or equivalent) to develop scripts, hooks,
captions, and copy variations per platform and campaign
- Produce multiple creative variants per brief for organic posting and paid social A/B
testing
- Ensure copy tone is native to each platform — TikTok voice is not the same as
Facebook or X
Performance Analysis & Recommendations
- Monitor channel performance weekly: reach, engagement rate, follower growth, video
completion rate, saves/shares
Identify patterns in what is and isn’t working — by format, topic, platform, and posting
time
- Bring a weekly or bi-weekly performance read to the Social Lead with clear
recommendations and a defensible point of view on what to stop, keep, or scale
- Flag underperforming content early; don’t wait for a monthly review to surface a week-
one problem
Cross-Team Coordination
- Coordinate with the Paid Ads team to produce ad-ready creative variants from organic
assets
- Align with Creative and BD/Affiliate teams on campaign-specific content needs and
timelines
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Requirements
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in social media content creation, social media
management, or digital marketing — including at least 1 year producing short-form video
for a brand, agency, or commercial channel
- At least 12 months of production experience with AI image or video generation tools
(e.g. Kling, Runway, Pika, Midjourney, Higgsfield, or equivalent) — a portfolio of
published, brand-facing AI-generated content is required, not test experiments
- Hands-on experience using AI writing tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) in a real production
context: scripting, copywriting, or content ideation
- Track record of owning a live brand content calendar end-to-end, and of building a
content plan from a business objective rather than executing a brief someone else wrote
- Comfortable reading social media analytics and translating data into content decisions
— not just reporting numbers
- Self-directed: manages own production queue, hits deadlines without being chased,
escalates blockers early, and has the judgement to make creative calls independently
within brand guardrails
- Experience creating content for gaming, entertainment, or youth-skewed audiences is a
strong advantage
Technical Skills
- Proficient with AI video generation tools; experience with Higgsfield is a strong
advantage
- Working knowledge of video assembly and light editing — CapCut, Premiere Pro, or
equivalent
- Prompt engineering discipline: ability to produce consistent, brand-aligned outputs, not
one-off lucky generations
- Familiar with native analytics dashboards: Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics, or
equivalent
- Understanding of platform algorithm dynamics — what actually drives reach and
retention on each channel
