Position Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Healthcare Administrator to lead the day-to-day operations of our skilled nursing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations while delivering the highest standard of care to residents. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership capabilities, a deep understanding of healthcare operations, and a passion for quality improvement in a nonprofit setting.
Key Responsibilities
As the Healthcare Administrator, you are entrusted with full administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability to carry out assigned duties, as delegated by the CEO. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide overall leadership and direction for facility operations, resident care, and employee engagement.
Ensure facility compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Maintain and promote a positive environment for residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures that align with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Oversee financial management including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
Manage personnel matters such as staffing, training, performance evaluations, and employee relations in collaboration with department heads.
Monitor and evaluate the quality of care and services provided, implementing improvements as needed.
Serve as a liaison between the facility, residents, families, regulatory agencies, and the broader healthcare community.
Participate in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to enhance facility performance.
Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred.
Current, unencumbered Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license in the state of [Insert State] required.
Minimum of ten (10) years of supervisory experience in a hospital or skilled nursing facility.
Strong knowledge of:
OBRA regulations and quality measures
Survey processes and tag numbers
Reimbursement and regulatory compliance
Nonprofit operations and 501(c)(3) governance (preferred)

Demonstrated leadership skills and ethical standards in providing age-appropriate resident care.
Ability to make independent decisions and handle sensitive personnel and resident issues tactfully.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with residents, staff, board members, and external agencies.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting financial reports and operating budgets.
Skilled in policy interpretation and regulatory compliance communication.
Knowledge of computer systems, applications, and standard office equipment.
Forward-thinking mindset; open to integrating new methods and best practices.
Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of collaboration, engagement, and service excellence.
