Full Job Description
- Job Title: Administrator in Adult Residential Facility (ARF)** must have current administrator certification
Description: Administrative serves as the primary point of contact for all individuals, families, regional center representatives, and any other relevant individuals or entities. The Administrative provides direct supervision to colleague(s) working as a Lead Direct Support Professional (LDSP) or a Direct Support Professional (DSP), specifically providing support related to the intake process, all assessment procedures, community activity development, clinical programming, staff training, and related communication with Regional Center representatives.
The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Primary Duties
- Implement individualized community-based activities aligned with personalized goals for improved independence
- oversight of assessment and treatment plan development and related clinical programming (teaching & data collection strategies)
- Provide on-going evaluation of individual client progress
- Attend regular clinical team meetings
- Support the coordination of direct support services
- Complete and/or ensure accurate and timely completion of Special Incident Reporting (SIR) procedures as needed
- Adhere to and ensure staff adhere to all protocols regarding client medication including but not limited to the attainment, storage, supply, expiration dates, documentation, dispensing, and/or disposal of medication as appropriate
- Oversee maintenance of home, including inventory and purchasing of goods for clients and home
- Coordinate with Client Services regarding the scheduling of LDSP & DSP Staff
- Provide oversight and support to ensure appropriate staffing in homes at all times; including filling in for staff as needed to maintain appropriate ratios
- Provide oversight and maintenance of client and staff files
- Serve as point person for communication of all, but not limited to, appointments, vehicle use, staffing changes, and communication with consultants
- Track & ensure direct staff completes the required minimum hours of continuing education annually including but not limited to the following:
- Oversee and ensure maintenance of client safety and confidentiality
- Perform and oversee the performance of other tasks as needed and assigned
- Remain on site at the respective home at least 20 hours per week or as often as necessary to be meet the individual needs of residents
- Fulfill all requirements to obtain and maintain a credential as a Registered Behavior Technician™(RBT®) set forth by credentialing body (i.e., BACB®), industry standards, funding sources, and CABA standards
Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements
- Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of prior experience providing direct care or supervision to individuals with developmental disabilities; providing mental health treatment and/or support, substance abuse prevention and/or treatment, behavioral support, and court or forensic support to children and adolescents with developmental disabilities who have resided in a state developmental center, or at risk for such placement
- Demonstrate understanding of the IPP process and the legal rights of people with developmental disabilities in California
- Prior experience or demonstrate skills and willingness to work with the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division
- Knowledge of (or skills/willingness to obtain knowledge of) all Title 22 and 17 regulations
- Licensure or Certification
- Complete/or have completed DSP I and DSP II certification accordingly
- Obtain and maintain current Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI)
- Obtain and maintain CPR certification
