JOB SUMMARY

  • Support investment operations across one or more asset classes, including Equity, Fixed Income, and Alternative Assets.
  • Perform settlement, transaction management, and reconciliation activities for domestic and global investment portfolios, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and market requirements.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of investment, cash, and related transaction records in internal systems.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including custodians, fund administrators, counterparties, and other service providers, to resolve operational issues and ensure efficient investment operations.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and operational excellence to improve efficiency and service delivery.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Transaction Settlement

  • Perform settlement and funding activities for investment and cash transactions across domestic and global markets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable market requirements and operational procedures.
  • Prepare, review, and verify the completeness of settlement and funding documentation.
  • Review and validate transaction instructions against confirmations received from counterparties, custodians, fund administrators, or other relevant service providers.
  • Coordinate with internal fund managers, custodians, fund administrators, counterparties, and other stakeholders to resolve settlement, documentation, or funding issues and ensure timely completion of transactions.

Transaction Management

  • Maintain accurate and complete investment, cash, and related transaction records in internal systems, ensuring alignment with records maintained by custodians, fund administrators, counterparties, and other relevant service providers.
  • Ensure investment transaction data received from custodians, fund administrators, and other service providers is accurately captured, validated, reconciled, and updated in internal systems on a timely basis.
  • Process and validate investment lifecycle events, including corporate actions, income events, capital activities, settlements, and other transaction-related events, in accordance with established procedures.
  • Ensure settlement, fund transfer, and payment instructions are executed accurately and within the required timelines.

Reconciliation

  • Perform daily reconciliation of investment transactions, positions, and cash balances between internal records and custodians.
  • Promptly identify and resolve discrepancies in position and cash reconciliations.

Process Improvement

  • Support system testing, data validation, and implementation activities for new products, investment portfolios, accounts, and operational enhancements.
  • Participate in process improvement, automation, and digitalisation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of operational procedures, best practices, and risk controls.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Malaysian citizen.
  • Pass the Malay Language including an oral test at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent as recognised by the Government.
  • Possess Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or other related qualifications which are recognised by the Government from any local or abroad higher learning institution including membership in the professional accounting bodies.
  • Not more than 2 years of relevant experience in related field.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention-to-detail, and able to work independently.
  • Proactive, resilient, adaptable to new technologies, and able to deliver under pressure.
  • A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
