Position Summary

The Assistant Executive Director (AED) will work closely with the Executive Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of the community, ensuring excellence in care, regulatory compliance, resident satisfaction, and staff performance. The ideal candidate will be a licensed administrator in the state of Florida with strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Executive Director in managing all aspects of community operations, including resident care, staffing, maintenance, dining, and programming.

Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations for assisted living facilities.

Help recruit, train, supervise, and motivate department managers and staff.

Assist in budget preparation, financial oversight, and performance tracking.

Foster a positive and inclusive community culture for residents, families, and staff.

Support marketing and community outreach initiatives to maintain and grow occupancy.

Handle resident or family concerns professionally and promptly.

Act as the Executive Director in their absence.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.

Must hold a valid Assisted Living Facility Administrator license in the state of Florida.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role within senior living, healthcare, or related field.

Skills:

Strong leadership and team-building skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and senior living management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in sales, marketing, or occupancy development in assisted living.

Knowledge of Florida ALF regulations and AHCA compliance.

CPR or First Aid certification.

Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
