Position Summary

Accountable in supporting the development, oversight, and continuous improvement of cabin safety initiatives and human factors programs. This role ensures operational compliance with aviation safety regulations, promotes a positive safety culture, and contributes to the proactive identification and mitigation of safety risks within the cabin crew operations

Key Accountability

  • Plan and develop of safety promotion materials aimed at enhancing cabin safety awareness across the organization.
  • Represent the Flight Safety and Human Factors (FSHF) department in safety and security promotional activities and initiatives.
  • Evaluate and address safety reports related to cabin operations, identifying risks and implementing appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Plan and manage the Cabin Safety Review Committee (CSRC) with relevant body to ensure the compliance to latest regulatory and international cabin safety standards.
  • Manage, mitigate and close Cabin Safety Reports (CSRs), including the development of safety recommendations, action plans, and the completion of the investigation cycle using the Group Safety Information System (GSIS), in coordination with Corporate Safety Oversight (CSSO).
  • Support the facilitation and delivery of internal (in-house) safety-related training programs.
  • Review and provide input on revisions to the Safety and Emergency Procedures (SEP) Manual, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and inclusion of the latest updates.
  • Represent the FSHF department in safety-related meetings and forums, including FOSAG (Flight Operations Safety Action Group), FYSRB (Flight Safety Review Board), CSRC (Cabin Safety Review Committee), and RST (Risk Safety Team) to ensure the compliance to latest regulatory and international cabin safety standards.
  • Coordinate the planning, preparation, and follow-up activities for FOSAG and CSRC meetings.
  • Ensure effective execution and documentation of CSRC meetings and oversee the implementation of any agreed safety mitigation actions.
  • Take direct responsibility for drafting, updating, and issuing amendments to all FSHF department manuals.
  • Monitor and manage training records and documentation relevant to the FSHF department.
  • Monitor and maintaining department reference materials and manuals to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Act as a liaison with regulatory authorities regarding cabin safety matters and ensure timely communication and compliance.
  • Coordinate with other departments such as Engineering, Ground Operations, Cabin Crew, and Training & Standards on issues related to safety training and onboard equipment for FY aircraft.
  • Promote teamwork within the department and perform additional duties or tasks as directed by the Chief of FSHF or Director of Flight Operations.
  • Ensure that, in the absence of the role holder, all duties and responsibilities are delegated to a suitably qualified individual to maintain operational continuity

Qualification & Working Experience

  • Degree in Aviation Management, Safety Management or related filed.
  • Attended relevant Aircraft Structure System course, Type Course, other relevant course.
  • Minimum 5-7 years experiences
