Role Description The Azure IT Admin is a full-time remote role responsible for managing and maintaining Azure-based infrastructure and related IT systems. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring system performance, managing user access and security, configuring and updating virtual machines and services, and ensuring network connectivity across cloud and hybrid environments. The role involves responding to incidents and service requests, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing technical support to internal teams. The Azure IT Admin will also contribute to system administration best practices, participate in backup and recovery planning, and help optimize cloud usage for reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong System Administration skills, including experience with Azure infrastructure management and Windows or Linux server environments.
- Candidates should possess Network Administration skills, such as managing virtual networks, VPNs, firewalls, and connectivity between on-premises and cloud resources.
- Candidates should possess Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills to diagnose, resolve, and document hardware, software, and cloud-related issues.
- Candidates should possess core Information Technology knowledge, including security best practices, backup and recovery, and monitoring tools.
- Experience with Azure Active Directory, identity and access management, and role-based access control is beneficial.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or similar) are preferred.
- Strong communication skills, ability to work independently in a remote environment, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams are required.
- Prior experience in a cloud-focused or IT administration role and familiarity with automation or scripting (e.g., PowerShell) is an advantage.
